But it doesn’t have to be that annoying, so long as you have a universal Samsung remote control. These are extremely popular for a reason, and it is that they are set up to work with just about every entertainment system out there, no matter how sophisticated.

So long as you have the right type of remote, you’re going to be able to tether literally everything to them. Just imagine only having to use the one remote for everything, including your TV, cable box, satellite receiver, DVR, DVD player, Blu-ray player, the list goes on and on. But the convenience that that will have, and just knowing that you no longer have to fumble around to watch the programs that you want to watch is something that you’re really going to enjoy guaranteed.

1) First up, you want to choose a style of remote that suits you.

This is vital so that you can make sure you have something that will be easy to control, but that’s also intuitive enough to work with several different programs. For that you’re going to want to have something that has enough buttons and that can actually control all of these types of electronics too, so make sure that you’re shopping carefully:

Otherwise, if you don’t want to go the touch screen route you’ll find that you can instead choose to go the regular remote route so long as they have enough buttons. But you have to make sure that they are compatible with things like your TV as well as your cable box, and that means ensuring they have things like guide buttons so that you can control these objects.

2) Sync up your remote.

You’ll find that you have to sync up your remote with each aspect of your system if you want them to work and that’s going to take a bit of doing on your part. You’ll find that in order to sync up the system typically you have to just turn the power off on the device, then select the mode that you want the remote to search for. That way, you can have the remote search for your DVD player, so that it can tap into the signal, and program itself to be able to actually access and power on that device, thereby syncing up to be used as a normal remote control. Sometimes you may also need Samsung remote control codes but they should come with the device.
